Do not use pure essential oils. Essential oils are diluted in a vegetable oil when applied to the skin. Carry out a skin tolerance test in the crook of your elbow and wait 48 hours before using the oil on the skin. Do not use the essential oil if you notice a reaction such as redness, itching or stinging.
Keep out of reach of children.
If accidental ingestion occurs, seek urgent medical attention or contact a Poison Control Center.
Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Essential oils should not be applied to the eyes, the eye contour area, neither into the ears. In case of contact, apply a plenty of vegetable oil and take promptly medical advice.
If symptoms persist or worsen when using essential oil, consult a health care practitioner.
If you have epilepsy or asthma, consult a health care practitioner prior to use.
Avoid exposure of applied area(s) to the sun.

Antibactérienne très puissante et à large spectre, cette huile essentielle d'Origan est également antivirale, antifongique et antiparasitaire.

Elle est d'une grande efficacité pour traiter les états infectieux aigus ou chroniques (infections respiratoires, intestinales, cutanées ou urinaires).

Diluée dans 95% d'huile végétale et appliquée localement, elle est également neurotonique, antispasmodique, antalgique et expectorante.

⇒ L'huile essentielle d'origan compact est déconseillée chez les femmes enceintes ou allaitantes, ainsi que chez les enfants de moins de 6 ans. 

⇒ ll faut également l'éviter en cas de maladies chroniques (hépatite) ou auto-immunes (sclérose en plaques).

⇒ Très dermocaustique, donc irritante pour la peau et les muqueuses, il est important de veiller à ce que sa concentration ne dépasse pas 5% lorsqu'utilisée en onction, en friction ou en massage dans une huile végétale. 

Le chémotype de l'origan compact est très riche en carvacol, ce qui lui confère une grande puissance d'action et implique une utilisation prudente et avisée sur une courte durée.

L'origan compact est une petite plante de 80 cm maximum de haut, qui est originaire de l'Afrique du nord.

Elle a été baptisée "compacte" car les fleurs sont groupées en inflorescences compactes, elles sont aussi odorantes et de couleur rose pourpre.

On extrait de la plante une huile essentielle très puissante qu a la réputation d'être encore plus puissante que la marjolaine comme anti-infectieux.

 

Composants principaux de l'huile essentielle

  • Phénols monoterpéniques (60-70%) carvacrol majoritaire, thymol
  • Phénols méthyl-éthers : carvacrol méthyl-éther
  • Alcools monoterpéniques (10%) : linalol, terpinène 1-ol-4, alpha-terpinéol
  • Monoterpènes (25%) : alpha-pinène et béta-pinène, myrcène, gamma-terpinène
