Words by Anny Schneider

The cumin seed has been added for millennia in rich and sometimes indigestible foods: rye bread, Gouda or Munster cheese, otherwise Indian legume stews.

The cumin seed is actually carminative (anti gases) and digestive.

Its essential oil can be applied on the abdomen against the gases.

By moderating the central nervous system, it also has a calming and inducing effect of sleep and can be applied pure or diluted on the neck, pituitary gland and epiphysis, while avoiding of course the eyes.

Origin of this essential oil

This essential oil of cumin (caraway)  from Egypt is distilled from the seeds of the plant.
