Words by Anny Schneider

Certified organic geranium essential oil is an oil particularly indicated against minor skin conditions: rosacea, eczema and other dermatoses.

It is called Bourbon because it comes from the island of Reunion (his name was Ile Bourbon until 1848), if not from nearby Madagascar.

Bourbon geranium also soothes nerves and reduces spasms, including intestinal ones.

In addition, geranium rosat repels biting insects.

Bourbon geranium also reduces stress, also restores morale and promotes "joie de vivre".

Origin of this essential oil

This organic essential oil of Bourbon geranium from Madagascar is distilled from the leaves of this plant so aromatic.

Properties

Antiseptic, astringent, anti-purulent, gains to be diluted in a vegetable butter like shea or cocoa or otherwise a restorative oil like argan, calendula or sesame.

Its fragrance is appreciated in floral and feminine synergies.

It is very effective against these skin infections: psoriasis, eczema, impetigo, acne, wounds thanks to its bactericidal, virucidal, fungicide and skin regenerating effects.

It also repels mosquitoes and soothes bites.

At the emotional level, it eases stress, mood swings, anxiety and reduces nervousness.

Cautions

Keep away from children, air, heat and light.
  • HE not recommended in the first 3 months of pregnancy
  • History of hormone-dependent cancers
  • Monitor the allergic risk locally: citronellol, geraniol, linalool, citrals (neral, geranial), limonene
