Words by Anny Schneider

This annual tansy with pretty yellow flowers produces a sustained blue essential oil because of its high level of chamazulene.

It is an Asteraceae.

It has powerful antiseptic, antihistamine and anti-inflammatory properties.

It is important to dilute it in a vegetable oil before application on a wound or on the nodes close to the infection.

Origin of this essential oil

This organic essential oil of blue tansy from Greece is distilled from the flowering tops of the plant.

Properties

The bright yellow flowers of the blue tanaisie release a deep blue essential oil with a powerful, aromatic and camphor fragrance.

Its colour reveals its naturally high level of chamazulene, making it an ideal choice for chronic irritations that cause heat, redness and dryness.

Known for its soothing, antioxidant and regenerating properties, tanaisie essential oil finds its place in cosmetology in face and body oils, creams and balms (some warnings exist).

Cautions

Keep away from children, air, heat and light.

Ne pas utiliser par voie interne sans avis d'un professionnel de santé connaissant les huiles essentielles.
