Cautions and warnings:
Do not use pure essential oils. Essential oils are diluted in a vegetable oil when applied to the skin. Carry out a skin tolerance test in the crook of your elbow and wait 48 hours before using the oil on the skin. Do not use the essential oil if you notice a reaction such as redness, itching or stinging.
Keep out of reach of children.
If accidental ingestion occurs, seek urgent medical attention or contact a Poison Control Center.
Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Essential oils should not be applied to the eyes, the eye contour area, neither into the ears. In case of contact, apply a plenty of vegetable oil and take promptly medical advice.

Origin

This organic hydrosol of Greece-grown carrot is distilled from the seeds of the plant.

Properties

It is believed that the carrots we use as food were first discovered 5000 years ago in the temperate zones of that is now called Afghanistan and from there spread out to all areas of our planet.

Wild varieties of carrot are common along our roadways, open meadows and the edges between fields and forests.

In the second year of life, carrots whether domestic or wild, produce long thin near leafless stems supporting delicate umbrella shaped lacy white blooms.

In the poetic language of flowers, the bloom represents sanctuary, interestingly the hydrosol made from the seeds clears away what is troubled, and is especially beneficial for the skin either by spraying directly on the skin or by it’s use as a tonic.

Suggestions for use

According to Dr Jean Valnet in his book "Clinical aromatherapy" cultivated carrot (Daucus carota var. sativa)  hydrosol of is beneficial for the kidneys and the liver. When used in doses of a tablespoon in a large glass of water is it can be part of a liver cleansing regimen.

In "Aromatherapy Exactly", aromatologist Franchomme also confirms it’s qualities as a hepatocellular regenerative.

Jean-Charles Sommerard (son of the aromatherapist Michel Sommerard) in his book "Eaux florales un nouvel art de vivre" indicates it’s usefulness in skin care when applied to the face, especially for eczema and rosacea.
