Words by Anny Schneider

This brown clay (or rhassoul) which means "earth that washes", has a very high absorption capacity, which allows it to efficiently remove fatsand impurities without irritating the epidermis.

It is an essential ingredient in the weekly hygienic rituals of North African hammams.

It is used as a mild soap or as a shampoo and of course as a  mask, poultice and softening and sanitizing wrap .

Applied regularly as a mask, it is suitable for combination to oily, acne, sensitive and reactive skin.

Dry skin: argan vegetable oil (nourishing, regenerating) or olive oil (nourishing, repairing), honey (moisturizing and regenerating).

Rhassoul is most often used in mask form.

You can mix it with mineral water, floral water or Aloe vera juice.

Rhassoul is also used very well with vegetable oils that you can adapt according to your needs.

Origin

Morocco

Suggestions for use

For a face mask, it takes about three teaspoons of rhassoul powder for an equivalent amount of liquid.

It is important to let the mixture rest for a few moments before applying it for about 15 minutes.

The rinsing is carried out with care in clear water.

Or, in a small bowl, pour the ghassoul.

Add vinegar (and floral water if desired).

Gradually add water, mixing vigorously and gradually, until a creamy but firm texture is obtained.

Add liquid honey, vegetable oil and essential oils, mix again.

Cautions

Keep away from children, air, heat and light.

Ne pas faire votre mélange dans un bol en métal.

Ne pas utiliser en interne sans avis médical ou en cas de troubles intestinaux.

Ne pas inhaler.
